VisionTV invites viewers to take the “Christmas Challenge”

VisionTV, Canada’s multi-faith and multicultural television network, has teamed with Toronto-based social media platform company Filemobile (www.filemobile.com) to re-launch its popular online Christmas promotion.

The “VisionTV Christmas Challenge” at www.visiontv.ca , offers Canadians the opportunity to share photos and videos of their best – and worst – holiday moments.

The campaign starts today, and runs until Monday, Jan. 5, 2009. Participating viewers will be eligible to win a “Family Fun Pack” that includes an iPod Touch, a copy of Rock Band 2 Special Edition and other prizes. Selected entries will be posted on the Christmas Challenge Web site, where registered members can comment on, share and rate the submissions.

The Christmas Challenge campaign promotes VisionTV’s extensive lineup of holiday movies and music programs, scheduled to begin Dec 8.

Highlights include a contemporary retelling of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol starring Ross Kemp (EastEnders, Extras), the 1940s movie classic Christmas in Connecticut with Barbara Stanwyck, the music special Christmas Dream From the Holy Land with singing sensation Charlotte Church, and the concert program Christmas Together with the Barra MacNeils.
